Samyang prepares Four Thirds-mount lenses

Korean lens manufacturer Samyang Optics Co. Ltd. has announced that it is preparing to release two of its lenses in Four Thirds-mount variants, according to the official website of the company's Polish distributor, Delta Co. The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 fish-eye and 85mm f/1.4 lenses are both manual focus lenses, and are available in Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony lens mounts currently. According to the distributor, both lenses will now also be available in Four Thirds mount for use with Olympus and Panasonic digital SLRs, with expected availability at the end of March 2010. Pentax updates camera utility, Raw codec

Pentax Japan has released updated versions of its Digital Camera Utility and Raw codec software, which are bundled with the company's single-lens reflex digital cameras. Available for Windows systems only, the updates can be downloaded from the Pentax website. The Raw codec update supports 32-bit Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems, while the Digital Camera Utility update is compatible with Windows XP SP2+ in Home / Professional / x64 variants, as well as Windows Vista or Windows 7.
